The idea/26

Dispatch started with a fairly simple idea: what if we pulled together the clothes, brands and looks we genuinely loved, and shared them with people who either already had a strong sense of style or were looking for a little more direction?

Then we started thinking about how much further that idea could go. What if discovery could feel more personal? Not just based on what was trending, but on who you are, what you like, where you're going and how you actually want to feel when you get dressed.

Maybe you're in your thirties looking for something to wear to a concert. Maybe you're in your sixties and need an outfit for an opening at the art museum. The occasion is different, the person is different, and the answer should be too.

(02) The closet

From there, the idea kept growing. We started imagining a closet that could hold more than the things you bought through us — a place where you could add what you already own, bring in pieces from other websites, and save things we've curated.

And actually do something with all of it — rediscover the clothes you forgot about, put together outfits for a specific event, or see new combinations you might never have tried on your own.

(03) See it on you

And then we thought: what if you could see the whole look on yourself before buying anything at all? What if you could try an idea first, save it for later, decide whether a piece really works with your wardrobe, and avoid some of the buying, second-guessing and returning that has become such a normal part of shopping online?

Part personal styling, part virtual wardrobe — and eventually, we hope, part community.

(04) Where we're going

That's where Dispatch really started to take shape. A place to build looks, save them, share them, borrow ideas from other people and contribute your own point of view.

We're still building it — and that's part of the point. Dispatch will keep evolving as we find new ways to make getting dressed more useful, more personal and more fun — the kind of fashion experience we'd want to use ourselves.
